AJ Brown’s Playing Status Uncertain for Patriots’ Next Game

New England Patriots wide receiver A.J. Brown’s participation in the upcoming game against the New York Jets remains uncertain. Brown, who sustained a right high-ankle sprain in the season opener, mentioned that his ability to play is ‘still up in the air’ after returning to practice. The decision will ultimately be made by coach Mike Vrabel, focusing on Brown’s long-term health over immediate gains. Brown expressed that he’s taking recovery slowly, ‘one step at a time,’ especially following a more physically demanding practice in full pads.

Brown’s approach to his rehabilitation has been both cautious and motivated by personal reasons. He recounted missing his wife Kelsey’s graduation due to the injury and expressed how his son Deuce’s desire to play influenced his recovery efforts. These family moments helped fuel Brown’s drive to get back on the field, aiming to increase his practice workload gradually.
